Youth employment, Skills, Education
The potential of the young people is key for the growth of our nation. It starts when children are still in uterus and goes through the whole education journey. Starting in 2008 as a volunteer, I have remained loyal to the education and skills development sector.
I worked for various NGOs in Rwanda, Lisbon and Germany trying to implement inclusive and equitable interventions to allow young people to reach their potential.
I hold a micro-masters in Education Innovation for Improvement from the University of Michigan and have pursued several certifications
Below a selection of examples of past work on youth employment, skills and education, that I have successfully delivered:
- Partnership between LinkedIn and the Rwanda Development Board : From negotiation stage through resource mobilization and implementation, led the process of a partnership development between RDB and LinkedIn for enhanced Labor Market Insights;
- Research evidence for employment : Conceptualized and initiated a partnership between RDB and Innovation for Poverty Action (IPA) to conduct a work-readiness camp for young graduates and assess its impact on employability;
- Project development : In my role as advisor in the Rwanda Development Board supported strategy for talent pipeline development and mobilized resources through development partners for implementation of related projects
- Alignment of budgets with sector outcomes : Supported the Ministry of Education to align its annual budget plans with higher level sector outcomes;
- Strategy and Policy Review : Supported the development process and review of various strategies and policies (TVET Policy, Education Policy, Literacy Policy, etc.)
