Me    – Wings and Roots: I am Camilla Kuckartz, a positive change-maker, a passionate people connector, always trying to see the bright side in every change. My mother used to tell me and my sister that since the day we were born she could see a difference. While my sister did not open her eyes for the first few days and looked like someone who just came from the inside of the earth, I entered this world with my eyes wide open looking around where I had landed.

My journey  : I have travelled, studied in many different places, gained work experience in various countries in Europe and in Sub-Saharan Africa and have realized that what I had been lacking were roots. Taking care of myself. I have learned from my sister in that regard, how to be settled and content

Consulting and Strategic Advice:  Developing frameworks of thinking, and translating complexity into understandable language is my passion. I have worked as a consultant for development projects in the field of private sector development, education, skills development and youth employment, have advised governments in Uganda and Rwanda on policy and strategy reforms and have organized numerous stakeholder consultations. (Detailed CV available on request)

Personal and Business Coaching  : Having provided mentoring to young adults over the past 12 years, I decided to professionalise my approach and started a coaching training in June 2021. This training was conducted by the Coaching Akademie Berlin and is accredited by the European Coaching Association. Throughout the 12 months training, I had 304 training hours as well as additional 88 hours of training accompanying practical sessions. This training will be completed in June 2022 and has enabled me to professionalize my approach and make it client oriented – in fact it is not about mentoring anyone but to help people find their own solutions.

Combining Roots and Wings  : After working in various organizations, with various cultures and people, I have decided to jump in it. To start sharing my personal expertise both with project managers, implementers and policy makers but also to support people in finding (back to) their roots. In understanding their resources, capacities and finding solutions that work for them. I am excited to be able to offer both my technical expertise in the development sector as well as my coaching approach. We all need to make sure our roots are stable before we can impact others. This holds everywhere but even more so in the development sector
